10/10 will watch this again! My kid made me watch it, and I’m so happy I did.
The adaptation was great, but the comic is way better.
There’s some amazing queer representation in the storyline and the voice actors chosen. There are also themes about not judging others based on fear, and learning to accept others — and yourself — and all your differences.
I loved it.
EDIT: go here to get questions answered about what could be concerning in this movie. I think it’s fine for younger viewers, but my kid is a mature 12 and we’ve shown them adult-themed shows for quite some time (with supervision).
